A downloadable game

It used to be that we’d see each other every day. Then it was on weekends, or maybe a couple of times a month. Meeting less was fine, though; we were never the kind of friends that needed to see each other every day to stay close. When we first grew apart, it was only a distance of time and place– a tangible gap, easy to close. And you, who felt like a stranger for weeks or months, could be yourself again within minutes. The “you” that I know. But now there’s something obstructing what used to be empty space between us, something sharp and dense. Like gnarled vines constricting me from bridging the gap.

This will be a visual novel with several point-and-click segments, inspired by Sucker For Love by Akabaka. The story of my game attempts to explore the dynamic of a drifting friendship, as well as represent some psychological effects of solitude and living within darkness. Work in progress, working on a demo to be up by summer.

End goal: 30ish minute visual novel w/ 2-3 main endings and 2 extras
Current goal: finalize plot and script 1st segment by 5/24
